I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...how could you not be? The first time I heard Apocalyptica it was as if I had never heard music before that moment. The crunchy cello sounds blending with almost incomprehensibly haunting sounds of the highest notes (PERTTU!) made my heart jump up into my throat and my brain just ate it up like candy.
Watching these guys play live is like nothing else. The speed at which Mikko can drum, the head banging, the cellos!!! It's one of the best live shows around. I picked up a cello because of them. It's all their fault, and it was totally worth it.
