The seventh studio album "7th Symphony" from rock Finnish cello-quartet Apocalyptica is in stores everywhere tomorrow! Apocalyptica’s nationwide tour supporting the release kicks off tomorrow at the Nokia Theatre in New York City, and will wrap up September 13th at the Roseland Theatre in Portland. The band will play an eclectic mix of favorites from past albums as well as brand new tracks including the explosive “End of Me”, which has been steadily climbing the Billboard Active Rock Chart’s Top 20. Cosmos Gaming calls Apocalyptica’s latest “Hands-down one of the best albums of the year” and the Examiner.com raves, “Apocalyptica has an energy and stage presence that makes it hard to turn away from”.

"7th Symphony" was produced by Joe Barresi (Coheed and Cambria, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion). The album features eight instrumentals plus four headbangers with guest vocals, including the first single and video “End Of Me” with lead vocals by Bush’s Gavin Rossdale. Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Lacey (Flyleaf), Joe Duplantier (Gojira) and Brent Smith (Shinedown) also make cameos on the album. In addition, producer Howard Benson (Three Days Grace, Creed, My Chemical Romance) returns for production duties on two tracks.

The conservatory-trained musicians of Apocalyptica (three of whom are graduates of the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki) started playing Metallica covers in 1993 and in 1996 they released their critically acclaimed debut Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. But it was 2007’s Worlds Collide that broke the band into an international phenomenon. The disc sold over 300k albums in the US, one million digital tracks and featured numerous guest stars including Three Days Grace singer Adam Gontier, whose resounding vocals on “I Don’t Care” blasted Apocalyptica through the stratosphere, and to #1 on the Billboard rock chart.
